Amari, Rethimno, Crete
Generations of tradition in every drop
Our story begins in the heart of Amari, Rethymno, where olive trees have stood for centuries, nourished by Crete’s sun, soil, and spirit. PETALAS is more than a name — it’s a continuation of our family’s deep connection to the land. For generations, our ancestors cultivated olives with respect and patience.
Today, we carry their values forward with a promise: to honor the past while crafting the future of premium olive oil.
Family-Grown, Estate-Crafted
We are a family-run estate, not a factory. Every PETALAS bottle begins in our groves, where we personally oversee the growing, harvesting, and pressing of our olives. We use only early-harvest Koroneiki and Chondrolia varieties, handpicked and cold-pressed within hours to capture their purest expression.
This hands-on approach allows us to maintain exceptional quality at every step — and ensure nothing but the best reaches your kitchen.
The Art of Cretan Olive Oil
A sacred ingredient with ancient roots
In Crete, olive oil isn’t just food — it’s a way of life. From Minoan civilization to today’s kitchens, it has been revered for its healing, culinary, and cultural significance. At PETALAS, we embrace this legacy and treat olive oil with the reverence it deserves. Our process combines traditional farming with modern organic practices to produce an oil that’s both timeless and vibrant — an edible link to history.
