Our long history begins around 1920, when our grandparents maintain the few olive trees they inherited from their own ancestors and plant new ones, with passion and love for the Cretan land.

Our grandfather, Nikistratos Kanavas, "Petalas" (horseshoe maker) by profession but also a farmer, along with our grandmother, cultivated with respect these centuries-old trees without using any technological equipment but their hands. Animals have also been an important aid to cultivation, thus keeping the natural chain alive and inspiring us today on how to cultivate olive groves.
